Blissful Psychology offers individual therapy to provide one-on-one support and guidance. Our compassionate approach aims to help clients overcome personal challenges and achieve emotional well-being. We work with adults, children (>6yrs) & adolescents in the following areas:
Adjustment Issues
Excessive reactions to a stressful life event that involve negative thoughts, strong emotions and changes in behaviour that cause distress or significant impairment.

Anger Management
When a person has anger management issues, it usually means that they have trouble managing their anger and often act out their anger in a destructive, rather than constructive, manner, where strategies and tools may be learned to help better manage this temper and emotion.

Anxiety
The main features of anxiety are excessive fears or thoughts that are chronic (constant) and distressing and that interfere with daily living.

Bullying
Bullying is when people repeatedly and intentionally use words or actions against someone or a group of people to cause distress and risk to their wellbeing. These actions are usually done by people who have more influence or power over someone else, or who want to make someone else feel less powerful or helpless.

Depression & Mood
Intense feelings of sadness, loss of interest or pleasure, or low mood for most of the day, nearly every day, for a defined period of time, sometimes without apparent reasons or causes.

Eating Disorders & Body Image
A range of issues involving an unhealthy relationship with food, abnormal or disturbed eating habits, unhelpful and excessive exercising, and a combination of the thoughts and feelings that a person may have about their body.

Emotional and Behavioural Issues
Difficulties managing feelings and behaviours that negatively impacts on a person’s daily functioning and interactions with others.
Grief & Bereavement or Loss
Grief is the natural emotional response to the loss of someone close, such as a family member or friend. Grief can also occur after a serious illness, a divorce or other significant losses. Grief often involves intense sadness, and sometimes feelings of shock and numbness, or even denial and anger.

Panic Attacks
A sudden feeling of intense fear and anxiety that reaches a peak within minutes and can include a fear of losing control or dying, as well as physical sensations such as heart palpitations, shortness of breath, nausea, dizziness, sweating, trembling or shaking and muscle tension.
Parenting Issues
Parenting issues refer to challenges and concerns that parents face while raising their children. These may include discipline and behaviour management, communication, academic and social development, health and safety, balancing work and family, and dealing with complex family dynamics.

Self Esteem & Confidence
Self-esteem refers to whether you appreciate and value yourself. Your self-esteem develops and changes as a result of your life experiences and interactions with other people. Self-confidence is your belief in yourself and your abilities.

Sleep Issues
Involve problems with the quality, timing, and amount of sleep, which result in daytime distress and impairment in functioning. Disturbances in sleep, include having trouble getting to sleep, poor quality sleep, staying asleep, waking up very early and not being able to get back to sleep.

Stress Management
Techniques and education to reduce the negative impacts caused by stress and to improve a person's physical and mental well-being. Stress management may include self-care, managing one's response to stress, and making changes to one's life when in a stressful situation.

Trauma (PTSD)
Witnessing or experiencing a deeply distressing or disturbing experience in life that results in distressing memories or dreams, flashbacks, or intense distress, which impacts on coping or functioning in everyday life.

Workplace Issues
Workplace issues are incidents that are seen as inappropriate by the person experiencing or observing the issue, which can arise every day and in many different situations and can lead to decreased performance/productivity, issues of bullying and harassment, or some kind of decreased satisfaction and stress at work.
